Martial Arts For Life
Helping Children Grow Through Martial Arts
Aikido gives children a way to grow that has nothing to do with beating anyone. They learn to fall safely, to move with a partner rather than against them, and to keep their head when someone else has lost theirs.
Why Families Choose Aikido Shudokan
1
Discipline, Confidence & Focus
Structured training builds self-control and self-belief that carries into school and life.
2
Self-Defence Skills
Practical, age-appropriate techniques that keep kids safe without aggression.
3
Non-Violent Philosophy
Aikido redirects conflict rather than meeting force with force.
4
Fitness & Coordination
Full-body movement improves balance, strength and coordination.
5
Social Connection & Respect
A welcoming dojo community that teaches respect for others.

I started training at the age of 5 and have loved every moment of training!! For me it is a great way to get moving and work up a sweat. The Aikido community has always been a welcoming and safe space for me, being at the dojo for so long has practically made them family. Over my many years of training I have not only learnt self defence, but determination, how hard I can push myself and what I am capable of. I would definitely recommend this dojo for those interested, whether they are beginners or may be experienced in some way, the Senseis are amazing at catering teaching based on skill level.
